How to Get to Genoa and the Other AcquarioVillage Sites

Acquario di Genova and the other sites of the AcquarioVillage are regularly open and reachable.

Here you will find useful information on how to get to the Aquarium following the changes to the road network introduced after the Morandi bridge collapse:

By plane

From the Cristoforo Colombo Airport, it is possible to reach Acquario di Genova (7 km):

  • By using a shuttle bus service, especially launched by the Genoa public transport company Amt in addition to the regular routes between the Airport and Genoa Piazza Principe railway station. The shuttle service runs every day from 6:00 to 20:00, to and from the Arrivals area;
  • By bus with Volabus, stopping in Piazza De Ferrari, from where it is possible to continue on foot through Via San Lorenzo.

By train

There is no change for visitors coming to Acquario di Genova by train.

From Genoa Piazza Principe railway station, the Aquarium can be reached:

  • On foot, in 10/15 minutes
  • By taking the bus no. 32 to P.zza Caricamento (last stop)
  • By taking the underground, direction Brignole (getting off at S. Giorgio station). From the 19th of August, the number of underground trips has been increased.

There are 46 more trains running between Genoa Voltri and Genoa Piazza Principe during weekdays, one train every 15 minutes.
